Dr. Shannon Devlin
Class of 2018
Hometown: St. Louis, MO (home of the best BBQ)
MD: Saint Louis University School of Medicine
About Me: I moved to California for residency but was born and raised in the Midwest. I love spending time at the beach, hiking, and taking weekend trips to places like San Clemente, LA, and Valle de Guadelupe. I also aspire to be a dog owner someday soon.
Why I Chose UC San Diego: The people! I met AMAZING residents on my interview day.
Favorite Place in San Diego: Definitely La Jolla Cove. I love the brunch spots, the views, the sea lions, and the kayaking (shout out to Calvin!)
Best Part of Living in San Diego: I could make a list of 100 favorite memories. It's honestly hard to choose just one. ICU team dinner, "personal fact rounds" with my VA team, any beach bonfire with my co-residents....just to name a few.
Career Plans: Chief year --> Palliative Care --> Geriatrics!
