Dr. Maggie Kozman
Class of 2020
Hometown: Corona, CA
About me: I'm a Med/Peds resident who's originally from southern California, went to medical school in northern California, and came back down here to be closer to my giant extended family. I love beaching, dancing, singing, going to concerts/musicals, traveling, hiking, camping, and playing with other people's babies and dogs.
Why I Chose UC San Diego: Strong training on both the Medicine side and the Pediatrics side, training experiences in a wide range of healthcare settings (university/county hospital, VA, university-affiliated and community clinics, ED, separate children's hospital, etc.), up to 2 months of global health opportunities in established and new sites, brilliant and fun co-residents, and incredibly supportive program directors/administrators
Favorite Place in San Diego: Here are 2 of many- La Jolla Shores for awesome beaching and bonfires, and Sunset Cliffs for gorgeous views.
Favorite UCSD Memory: Again, so many! But I'll always remember bonding with my incredible co-residents at the annual holiday party: great people, great food, gettin' all fancy, exchanging gifts, and getting to all be in 1 place at the same time.
Career Plans: Med/Peds hospitalist, global health, medical education!
