  • Office of Clinical Trials Administration (OCTA)
    • Provides comprehensive contracting for investigators and administrators to enhance their ability to achieve excellence in the clinical trial arena while adhering to University policies
  • Office of Contract & Grant Administration
    • Responsible for the stewardship of sponsored research and research collaborations from government, for-profit industry, non-profit, foreign, and University of California sponsors
  • Office of Grant Development (Moores Cancer Center)
    • Assists UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center faculty members in pursuit of external research and training support, particularly large-scale program and center grants, and young investigator awards
  • Office of Innovation and Commercialization
    • Accelerates the commercialization of UC San Diego innovations and contributes to a sustainable society by empowering a diverse entrepreneurial culture on campus and strengthening a dynamic innovation ecosystem
  • Office of International Affairs
    • Provides planning and support for UC San Diego's engagement with the world outside the United States and assists the campus in defining objectives for collaboration in research, education, and service with institutions in other countries

  • Health Sciences Compliance Program
    • Supports all UCSDH employees and all those who act on behalf of UCSDH in making decisions consistent with the Ethical Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct of the University
  • Human Research Protections Program (HRPP)
    • Promotes high quality, ethical research, by serving as the advocate for the rights and welfare of persons who participate in research programs conducted by UCSD faculty, staff, and students
  • Office of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
    • Oversees the university's animal care and use program and is responsible for reviewing all animal use protocols, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, inspecting animal facilities and laboratories, and overseeing training and educational programs
